About Department

Founded with the inception of the college, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at SITM, has created a niche for itself through its research oriented education and state-of-the-art laboratories. Students are exposed to rigorous and exhaustive curriculum under the guidance of experienced and qualified faculty. The teaching programme, here, is devised keeping in view the significance of Industry- Academia interaction enabling the students to face the global competitiveness. The Department maintains its own Library with a collection of Periodicals, National Computer/IT Journals and Manuals to cater to the academic requirements of faculty and students.

The Department offers the following programmes: -

• 4-Year B.Tech. Degree Programme with an intake of 60 students. The students are admitted through JEE conducted by CBSE.
• In addition to this, Diploma Holders are admitted to 2nd Year through Lateral Engineering Entrance Test LEET- an on-line test conducted by Haryana state counseling Society, Panchkula.
• 2- Year M.Tech. Degree Programme in Computer Science Engineering with an intake of18 students.
• 2- Year M.Tech. Degree Programme (Part-Time) in Computer Science Engineering with an intake of 18 students.

HOD’s Message

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was formed with the primary objective of providing world class education in the field of Information Technology, while addressing the problems of today and tomorrow. Right from its inception, the department has been offering excellent infrastructural facilities with a variety of computing platforms to aspiring professional students to meet the burgeoning demands of the IT industry.
The department endeavours to produce confident professionals tuned to real time working environment. The department offers excellent academic environment with a team of highly qualified faculty members to inspire the students to develop their technical skills and inculcate the spirit of team work in them. The strength of the department lies in the highly motivated students who understand the dynamics of the industry and hone their skills accordingly.
