About Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, at SITM, is one of the most reputed and well established departments. It has carved a niche for itself in terms of competent and experienced faculty, well equipped laboratories, modern workshops and related infrastructure. The talented and experienced staff of the department endeavours to ‘train the brains and impart skills to the hands’ using ultra-modern equipments. The department offers:-

• 4-year B.Tech. Programme with an intake of 60. The students are admitted through JEE conducted by CBSE.
• Diploma Holders are admitted through LEET (an on-line test conducted by Haryana state counseling Society, Panchkula).

HOD’s Message

It is a distinct honour for me to serve as Head for Mechanical Engineering Department. Our graduate students are highly sought by high-tech companies and prestigious universities and laboratories. There are times of sweeping change in higher education and in scientific research and development. I take pride in the fact that our highly qualified faculty who are among the most productive in terms of scholarly publications are also among the most effective teachers. At this challenging and exciting time, I wish to reach out to all our faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends.
